John Hannah (1979-1981)

John Hannah became Streetheart’s guitarist in 1979. A highly talented veteran of the Western Canadian music scene, John’s skill in his playing, singing and songwriting brought a new burst of energy to Streetheart. John was with the band when Streetheart received the Juno Award for Most Promising Group in 1979. John played on many of Streetheart’s most iconic recordings including Streetheart’s classic remake of the Rolling Stones’ “Under My Thumb”. Unfortunately, John’s battle with health problems in the early 80’s took away his opportunity to contribute more to the Streetheart legacy.
